Description
HGTV designer Sabrina Soto gives homeowners their dream room with a price tag they can afford on the television series The High Low Project. Each episode begins with Sabrina revealing to one lucky couple their ultimate dream room. But there is a catch. The initial design is filled with high-end, high-price items that exceed the couple's budget. If the couple approves of the design, Sabrina then recreates the room piece by piece, replacing expensive items with nearly identical budget-friendly alternatives. At the end of the show, the final room is unveiled along with the final price tag.
Having also appeared in several other HGTV shows, Sabrina Soto is a notorious interior designer, consultant, and entrepreneur. She began her television career interviewing well-known recording artists and celebrities on cable network shows and a Yahoo! web-based series. Today, she is the home style expert for Target and continues to expand her television appearances. Sabrina is best known for her skill of combining luxury and affordable pieces to create eclectic interior designs. This talent forms the basis for The High Low Project.
The room designs on The High Low Project are extravagant and include every important detail, from wall coverings and window treatments to furniture and art. Each episode features a different room of the house, depending on the homeowner's dream project. Dining rooms, sun rooms, patios, and nurseries have all been made over on the show. Couples learn that, with a little creativity and shopping for the right low-cost item, a dream room is possible on even a limited budget.
The High Low Project is a Firvalley production distributed by Home and Garden Television (HGTV). The series, which first aired in 2012, is directed by Ronnie Krensel with film editing done by Chris Mutton. Deborah Wheatley is the design coordinator.
